He is Risen
by Maria Evelyn Quilla Soleta
Come one, come all! See the risen Savior without His crown of thorns!
Three days before He was nailed on the cross for sins not His own.
Stripped and beaten. Pained.
In agony, He sipped from the bitter cup
While His enemies mocked and scorned.
Finally, He gave up the ghost
And the whole world mourned.
Come one, come all! See the risen Savior without His crown of thorns!
The repentant hearts saw His linen gown all tattered and torn.
He bled, died, was kept in a tomb
Without a name, no flowers,
Gated with a stone.
Three days after
Was exalted to a throne!
Come one, come all! See the risen Savior without His crown of thorns!
The despising and cruel sins of all He willingly carried and borne
Yet He promised,
And if we accept,
We will be taken Home
To rejoice with Him in happy
Reunion!
